Storms in the desert...

Supposed to be watchin the Badgers kick some butt in AZ, but it's got a weather delay at the moment- so I'll come ramble a bit before I finish my next quilt (hopefully today)

Went to see the best show of my life (maybe) last night- Lucky Boys with Split Habit... honestly, 2 really great live performing bands at once. Loved it. I can't really walk/lie down/sit well right now, cause Tia and I got a little banged up at the show, but it was worth it. Front row. Of course. The set list was honestly amazing for LBC...

Medicine & Gasoline
Blame
Commitment
Breaking Rules
Atari
AZ Stand
God Only Knows
Sunday Afternoon
Killians
Bossman
Beware
*new song*---which ROCKED
One to the Right
Hey Driver
Anything, Anything
Mr. Wilmington
City Lights
LBC
3 to 10 CB's Caddy

What else could I have asked for?? (except Slip)...

Certainly was interesting though, the crowds at these shows seem to be getting younger and younger. There were some folk in line in front of us-- most obnoxious people I can remember meeting, and I think U of I freshmen are for sure worse than UW freshmen... and I don't remember ever being that bad!

In other news, we missed Stevo's first "official" 915 College Ct. bash which is tragic. But Laura's 21st is tonight, so that should be fun!

McDonald's breakfast is DEFINITELY better than their daytime menus.

First Blog Entry...

I'm a copycat apparently. A couple of my friends have blogs on here now, and I figure it's not a bad idea. Besides which, Will had a good point in that this will be an easy way to keep people up to date when I'm traipsing around on the other side of the globe. Which won't be for a little while, but good to get used to this before I go anyway.

So I don't have too much to say for right now. This week has been quite busy, but it is nice to always have something going on. I'm finally starting to get involved a little more in depth with IBSA. Everyone should check out www.justgiving.com/pfp/uwmadison-mashambanzou because that is our big project...

Also, I like this: A business man got on an elevator. When he entered, there was a blonde already inside who greeted him with a bright, "T-G-I-F." He smiled at her and replied, "S-H-I-T." She looked puzzled and repeated, "T-G-I-F," more slowly. He again answered, "S-H-I-T." The blonde was trying to keep it friendly, so she smiled her biggest smile, and said as sweetly as possibly, "T-G-I-F." The man smiled back to her and once again, "S-H-I-T." The exasperated blonde finally decided to explain. "'T-G-I-F' means Thank Goodness It's Friday. Get it, duuhhh?" The man answered, "'S-H-I-T' means 'Sorry, Honey, Its' Thursday.'"

I felt kind of like that today... I kept getting excited because it felt like Friday. But it wasn't. How unfortunate.
